This is a super duper late post, but I promised I would post it so here it is. My home renovations have taken up all my time! Here are my favorite reads of 2017, as well as some book disappointments (because balance).

Book Disappointments
The first in Samantha Young’s Hart’s Boardwalk series wasn’t my cup of tea, but I was REALLY excited to read EVERY LITTLE THING because of the promise angst. However, Every Little Thing, failed to deliver and left me feeling super bummed.
FEVERSONG, the “conclusion” to Karen Marie Moning’s beloved Fever series, was a flop. In all honesty, most of the books after Shadowfever didn’t live up to the glory of the first five books. I had a lot of feelings about Feversong, so I’ll let my review speak for itself.
PURPLE HEARTS was Lara Avery’s adult novel debut but this romance was lacking in several areas. The writing quality was not up to snuff and the dialogue was painful to read. Examples of both are in my review.
What pulled me into Kathleen Barber’s ARE YOU SLEEPING was the comparison to the ever-popular Serial podcast and docuseries Making a Murder, but it wasn’t as compelling as I was hoping.
