Book Chat – What I’ve Been Reading + New Books I’m Excited About

Sunday Morning Book Chat is an video series in which I talk about random book-related things with a cup of coffee (or some wine).

Wow! It’s been 14 months (eek!) since I last did one of these things! I’ll talk more about why in the video below. This post was supposed to go up on Sunday (yesterday) but I had some issues getting the video uploaded to YouTube. Womp womp!

If you guys have any suggestions on what you’d like to see on a future Book Chat video, then leave me a comment!

  • Love your videos! I saw you and Sadie loved Mothers, I am waiting for my library to get it in. It looks really good. Love the cover too! I’ve been on the fence with Beautiful, but you have swayed me to bump it up my tbr. And I TOTALLY get not wanting to give up time on precious weekends. Life just gets so crazy that when you have free time, you just want to chill. I’ve requested a few ARCs in the past couple days and I haven’t done that in forever but I do miss it and am going to try to make more time.

    • Erin!! Yes! Sadie and I totally loved THE MOTHERS! It’s one of those books with so much room for discussion! Beautiful was just super, super fun! I laughed several times while reading, mostly because of the situational humor. Plus, who doesn’t love a wine trip with Will, Hanna, Ruby, and Niall (the guy whose name I can’t pronounce)?

  • Steph

    Vampire Academy? adding!!

    • OMG!!!!! Have you not read it yet?! Forbidden love goodness!!!!!!!!!

      • Steph

*shame face* no! lol but it’s totally getting bumped up!!

        • This makes me really, really happy!

    • I’m excited for you!!!!

  • Sadie

I’m having a case of the Mondays trying to leave a comment. Technology is failing me today. I love these videos and I’m psyched you are doing them again. I told you I fell down the BookTube rabbit hole the other day…there is something so fun about video reviews. Yours are great and I’m amazed by your ability to recall character names and plots without notes!?! #impressed. The Mothers – of course I have to say it again but what an enjoyable read. And I still need to read the Matthew quick book.

    • Haha! Thanks, Sadie! I’m weird and have a good memory when it comes to character names and stuff. I really think you would LOVE Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock. It is a Sadie book, since you appreciate great character development!

  • SO happy to hear you liked From Sand and Ash. I love Amy Harmon and am excited for it. Can I See You Again is on my wishlist this year because of your review 🙂 Fun video!

  • Oh oh Megan, I’ve been seeing Christina Lauren’s series everywhere, but to be honest I didn’t really pay a lot of attention to it, but lately all I’ve been in the mood in for is Adult and New Adult books, so I’m definitely considering giving it go now, I don’t know if I should get a physical copy or on audio! Also Before I Go sounds like such a tough read, but I really want to check it out! Thank you for the recommendations! I’m certainly looking forward to more Sunday morning book chat!
