Sunday Morning Book Chat #10 — HoHo Holiday Book Tag

Sunday Morning Book Chat is a weekly vlog in which I talk about random book-related things with a cup of coffee.  I thought it was also a great way for you to get to know me and for me to get to know you!

In this book chat I:

  • what I’m reading,
  • do the HO HO Holiday Book Tag, and
  • talk about some new books I added to my to-read list.

Grab a cup of coffee or tea and click PLAY!  If you can’t see the video, you can watch HERE.

Since your last chat I’ve read: The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, The Law of Moses, The Young Elites, and The Raven Boys. I also finished the audio of My Antonia and am now listening to The Diviners. I really enjoyed all of these books, but The Law of Moses blew me away. Amy Harmon is so talented. I think it’s my favorite book this year. I still can’t stop thinking about it. I also reread Until the Sun Falls From the Sky by KA and I’m rereading With Everything I Am today in prep for the third book in her Three series that comes out this month.
I added Kyland by Mia Sheridan and #TripleX by Christine Zolendz to my TBR.
My next book is The Summer Garden. I read The Bronze Horseman and Tatiana and Alexander in January this year and had to stop because my heart couldn’t take it. I never had such a physical reaction to a book or books before. I literally cried for 8 days straight reading them. I can’t take angst at that level. So after 12 months, I’m going to finish it.

    • Paula!! You are on fire with the reading! I really want to read The Raven Boys. One of my friends is a huge Maggie Stiefvater fanatic. I made an agreement with Hildy from The Book Bosses to read The Bronze Horseman in exchange for her reading Mud Vein. 🙂 I’m going to try to read the trilogy in January. I have a feeling it’s going to ruin me, especially after reading your comment. I’m excited. 🙂

I can’t wait to start the second book in The Ravens Cycle. I would have jumped right in but I was already committed to the buddy reread of KA’s book and The Summer Garden.
Good luck with The Bronze Horseman trilogy. They are absolutely beautiful books. If you love emotional books, you will love these.
I have Mud Vein sitting on my kindle. Should I read it or listen to the audio?

  • OMG, you know I love Georgie and the gang so I love your answer! Also, you know I love Drew.
I would love a print copy of The Sea of Tranquility, specifically the indie version. I still can’t believe I don’t have a print copy yet…
THE HOOK UP! I thought that would be your answer 🙂 I would add Rival to my answer too. The Hook Up and Rival are two of my favorites!
Leah, you know I love her character because she is so evil, but I don’t love her as a person. I just like the fact that I can hate her so much.
I’m so jealous you met Richelle Mead… if you meet her again you must ambush her and tell her about our spinoff ideas!
I’m really fucking excited for the Friend Zone!
I just heard the Christmas novella about Tangled and it was funny. Plus, Yorkie. It’s on the Baby it’s cold outside audio.
