In the spirit of the holidays, I wanted to give away a few of my favorite things. So leading up to the end of the year, I’m going to have a few fun giveaways for you guys. Thanks for always stopping my blog! Reading Books Like a Boss is a labor of love for me and it’s been a really fun year!
- Giveaway #1: Whisper To Me by Nick Lake (Giveaway Has Ended)
- Giveaway #2: Leuchtturm1917 Journal + Pilot Metropolitan Retro Fountain Pen (Giveaway Has Ended)
- Giveaway #3: Coming Soon…
I discovered bullet journaling this year through Modern Mrs. Darcy (read her posts on bullet journaling)! I totally love the system. It’s for those who feel too restricted by the formatting of traditional journals and planners or just totally suck at keeping up with a journal (like me!) It’s completely customizable in that you create the layouts yourself and can adjust from week to week.
Bullet Journaling is a mix between a diary, journal, and planner. The monthly and daily logs (or to-dos) will help you stay organized. The fact that you have manually migrate unfinished tasks from day-to-day helps you prioritize what you need to do.
But perhaps the greatest thing is the endless amount of collection you can create. Let the creative juices flow! Collections are basically anything you want them to be—habit trackers, fitness trackers, monthly to-read lists, meal planning, and yearly reading lists. The possibilities are endless. And you can customize them to what works for YOU.
I’ve kept my journal pretty simple, so I’m not overwhelmed. It’s helped me get on top of things at work, which has been AWESOME! I can’t wait to start a new journal in January!
There are a TON of resources on line, but here are a few:
- Bullet Journal — The Official Source
- Boho Berrry — Kara is so freaking creative and lovely.
- Nereyda’s Bookish Bullet Journaling — Nereyda recently did an entire post on book-related bullet journaling goodies!
